I have five beautiful children. The first four came within five years and after a break of four years, we added our last little one. I’ve been a stay-at-home parent since the beginning, in addition to homeschooling our family, which means I spend almost all my time parenting in some form. They say it takes 10000 hours of practice to become an expert in something. I figure at 12 hours a day (which allows for the couple of hours I spend hiding in the closet trying to find some private time) I’ve put in over 87600 hours of time. I certainly do not feel like an expert, but I certainly have an idea of what works and what doesn’t!

In 2009 I found and began studying the developmental attachment theories of Dr. Gordon Neufeld at the Neufeld Institute. Last year I began the process of becoming a certified Neufeld Facilitator.
